MEET THE OWNER

Devin Kochanasz started his path in the sign painting business around 2010 in college, when he first discovered the trade while working on a BFA in gallery art at Central Washington University. He was captivated with the depth of it - the particular brushes, paint and methods along with the many different styles of lettering. Beyond that, he found that signs were a form of public art, that could stretch far outside any gallery wall.

He moved to Portland, Oregon in 2016 and started working with local business owners immediately. Devin shared a large sign shop with sign craftsmen Lee Littlewood and Pete McKearnan from 2017 to 2024 who he owes much of his evolution as a sign painter. He now works in Southeast Portland out of his own shop but still services businesses all around the Pacific Northwest.
